NewGel+ UV is a silicone scar gel combined with zinc oxide, a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen, to protect new scars from UV exposure that can cause hyperpigmentation while it helps flatten, soften and fade them. It dries into a thin, flexible, waterproof layer, is gentle on all skin types including children, and helps relieve the discomfort and itching associated with some scars. It is ideal for scars on exposed areas such as the face, arms and hands.
How to use
How to use
Apply the gel at least twice a day, morning and night, especially before sun exposure. Use for 3 months on new scars; older scars may take up to 6 months. It can be used alone for the full treatment or alternated with other NewGel+ products, but do not apply it under NewGel+ silicone sheeting as the sheeting will lose its adhesiveness. Use NewGel+ UV during the day and sheeting at night if desired.
