NewGel+ 2.5 x 15.2 cm silicone strips are medical grade silicone gel sheeting for small straight scars from minor surgery, breast augmentation, keyhole or laparoscopic surgery, biopsy, or sutured chin, eyebrows or fingers. They can be cut to fit and are safe for children aged two years and older. The beige backing is thicker and more durable, while the clear backing is thinner and more conformable; both contain the same amount of silicone. It works through occlusion, hydration, elevated skin temperature and continuous light pressure, with positive results visible in as little as 3 weeks on both old and new scars.
How to use
How to use
Take the sheet or strip out of the package and cut or trim it to fit the scar if necessary. Wash and dry the area using only a non-moisturizing cleanser, and keep the scar free from creams, lotions or ointments. Peel away the backing and apply NewGel+ adhesive side down on the scar; medical grade tape is recommended to hold it in place. Wear daily for 6 to 12 hours, for up to 3 months on new scars and up to 6 months on older scars. Inspect and clean the scar area daily, wash the sheet with mild non-moisturizing soap and water after each use and only re-use it once fully dry. Do not use if soiled or damaged, and store unused product in its original packaging.
